Dont you love it when those companies use that "just like lexan" material that looks the same till you hit it with  a hairdryer?

yeah there was just a wee little bit of cutting put into that before it went shrinky dink.  I went ahead and finished the paint job although my attention to detail took a definite downturn since it went from something great to a basher shell in the blink of an eye.  also i dont like leaving things undone.  Another shell is here from jconcepts this time.  i will give it another go with a different scheme.  im kinda burned out on checkers right now.  one thing i did to try and fix it was the heat gun and smash method of trying to smooth it out.  it helped a little but was far from a fix.

I think it would have been ok if you used the heat gun sparingly.  Maybe if you used thinner coats, it wouldn't take too long for the heat gun to dry it out the paint.  Plus, thin coats are the way to go anyway...less paint to try, more even coverage, and less time for the heat gun to melt the body.
